Floating De-Icer features a safety shut-off system designed to automatically shut the de-icer off before the heating element becomes hot enough to ignite a fire a valuable feature in the event the unit is removed or thrown from the tank. The styrofoam float is completely enclosed within a rugged puncture-proof plastic housing and the tubular heating element is made of INCOLOY the best known material for withstanding water impurities. cCSA and ULus Listed.
