The California claw is designed for high volume, high speed milking. An enlarged version of the original Bou-Matic claw, the California Claw has greater capacity, (3 1/2" versus Bou-Matic 3" claw barrel). The cylindrical design has proven itself over the years to be conducive to smooth milking with a minimum of churning or turbulence. The all stainless steel construction makes the California claw extremely strong. Large clear windows at each end of the claw provide excellent visibility and are locked in place by snap rings which hold the windows in place during back flushing.
