| 1. Check and maintain your unit regularly.
Frequency depends on environment. Start with weekly checks
until youčve determined how often the unit
requires cleaning and maintenance within your system. Keep the
filters clean. |
| 2. Never use anything stronger than a mild
solution of dishwashing liquid when cleaning any Sentinel unit
or Mark I main filter. |
3. At no time should any type of lubricant be
applied to the regulator
(especially WD-40). The Sentinel is air-lubricated;
foreign lubricants will only restrict movement and eventually
destroy the silicone rubber diaphragm. |
| 4. Replace the top dome filter if vacuum drops
more than 1/2" when dome filter is removed during
operation. A dirty filter restricts air flow. |
| 5. Avoid impacting the unit with hammers or
other tools. |
| 6. MARK II ONLY If unit has been disassembled
for deep cleaning, lightly dust the rubber rolling seal with
talc or baby powder to prevent sticking. |
| 7. MARK II ONLY If flange is being replaced,
be sure the bal-seal (#406-32) and retaining washer (#406-18)
are correctly reinstalled. See manual. |
| 8. MODELS 100, 350, 500 If the aneroid has
been disassembled or replaced, place a thin bead of silicone sealant on the aneroid cap threads before reassembly to insure
a tight seal. |
| 9. Always consult your parts & Maintenance
Manual for disassembly and reassembly procedure. |
